Your Role
FSI is seeking an experienced Vice President of Technology to lead our engineering and technology strategy. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee our Microsoft-based SaaS infrastructure, architecture, and engineering teams, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. This role requires a decisive, strategic, and business-minded leader who can balance technical excellence with business priorities, driving both product innovation and operational efficiency.
Your Impact
- Technology Strategy & Vision – Define and execute a scalable and secure strategic technology plan aligned with our business goals, ensuring focus on long-term growth, ARPU (average revenue per user), and customer value rather than technical execution alone.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Optimization – Lead the evolution of our Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance & Security – Ensure our continued compliance with SOC 2, Type 2 and HIPAA certifications, integrating security best practices into all aspects of technology.
- Team Leadership & Growth – Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering, database, QA, and sprint management team. Ensure the team operates efficiently, maintaining strong response times to tickets and operational issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Product, Revenue, Sales, Implementation, and Professional Services to align technology initiatives with business needs, prioritizing high-impact projects over incremental or overly complex solutions.
- Technical Excellence & Innovation – Drive impactful technology improvements that enhance platform scalability, efficiency, and revenue growth. Ensure innovation efforts contribute to business goals.
- Scalability & Performance – Drive architectural improvements that support rapid customer growth and enterprise-level demands, while maintaining a clear focus on execution and measurable business impact.
- Risk & Cost Management – Evaluate and implement infrastructure investments that balance cost efficiency with long-term scalability and ROI. Proactively evaluate ROI on cost-saving initiatives.
- 10+ years of technology leadership experience in SaaS or healthcare technology.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud architectures, and DevOps.
- Experience balancing regulatory compliance with innovation, ensuring technology decisions drive business growth while maintaining HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance.
- Proven ability to scale engineering effectiveness, ensuring the right structure and leadership for high-impact execution.
- A strong balance of strategic vision and execution, ensuring focus on business growth rather than getting stuck in the weeds.
- A track record of avoiding analysis paralysis and executing on initiatives with measurable impact.
- Proven success in scaling high-performing engineering teams and building resilient technology platforms.
- Strong strategic mindset—able to align technology with business goals, drive execution, and innovate for growth.
- Strong decision-making skills with a bias for action, ensuring technology initiatives translate into business impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced technical degree preferred).
- Remote-first role with occasional travel.
- Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
